The 2005 Liberty Film Festival, Hollywood's premier event for conservative and libertarian film, will be held this October 21-23, 2005 at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. The Liberty Film Festival showcases films that celebrate the traditional American values of free speech, patriotism, and religious freedom.

Lions Gate Films, the motion picture production, acquisition and distribution arm of Lions Gate Entertainment (NYSE:LGF) Toronto, announced today that it will co-produce and distribute FIDO, an Anagram Pictures film to be produced by Blake Corbet and Mary Anne Waterhouse. Starring Carrie-Anne Moss (THE MATRIX Trilogy), Billy Connolly (THE LAST SAMURAI), Tim Blake Nelson (MINORITY REPORT and Lions Gate's "O") and Dylan Baker (SPIDER MAN 2), the film begins principal photography tomorrow.

"Mission: Impossible 3," starring Tom Cruise, will commence principal photography on July 18th in Italy, it was announced today by Paramount Pictures Chairman and CEO Brad Grey. The film, to be directed by J. J. Abrams and filmed on locations across Europe, the U.S. and Asia, is scheduled to be released May 5, 2006. Cruise and his partner, Paula Wagner, will produce for Cruise/Wagner Productions.

The Honeymooners," a feature-length comedy, is the story of two best friends -- bus driver Ralph Kramden (Cedric the Entertainer) and sewer worker Ed Norton (Mike Epps) -- who hatch a get-rich-quick scheme to get them out of Brooklyn and onto easy street. George Lucas will receive the American Film Institute's (AFI) 33rd Life Achievement Award on June 9, at a gala event, which will be taped for a television broadcast later in the month. Filmmaker and past recipient Steven Spielberg will present Mr. Lucas with the award at the tribute, which will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
