| mrspr.com >Home Releases Non Profits 26th Annual Charity Run/Walk to Raise Funds for Children May 15 PHILADELPHIA, May 13 PHILADELPHIA, May 13 /-- The Philadelphia Bar Association will hold the 26th Annual 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, May 15 on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (formerly West River Drive), in Philadelphia, beginning at 8:30 a.m. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Support Center for Child Advocates for their work on behalf of abused and neglected children. The event, which annually attracts nearly 1,000 runners and walkers, is one of the oldest run/walks in Philadelphia. The run/walk is divided into the following categories: open-individual, Philadelphia Bar Association members, company teams, legal teams, male and female. In addition, the categories are broken into age groups. Awards are presented in all divisions. Runners and walkers can register the day of the event, from 7:15-8:15 a.m., at the entry to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, adjacent to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Cost of registration is $50.
