What's Your Pleasure? New Web Service Makes it Easy to Find Your Retirement Destination
REDDING, Conn., June 2, 2005
Location. Location. Location. The old real estate axiom couldn't be more apt for those considering where to go when it comes to planning their retirement.

To help guide them through the often-intimidating process, the Retirement Living Information Center recently launched a new service called "Great Places to Retire." Available on http://www.retirementliving.com/, the new service is designed to help those planning their retirement to pick the best retirement destination for them.

"This new section of our site is all about making the right decision on where to retire," says Tom Wetzel, president of the Retirement Living Information Center. "Choosing the right destination for your retirement can bring years of happiness. The wrong decision can be costly both to your health and your wallet. Where you live has a lot to do with how you live."

Visitors to the site will find a Decision Guide that will lead them through a number a steps and ask relevant questions about what is important to them in living out the next phase of their life. The Decision Guide is also designed to help them to focus on a lifestyle that will enable them to meet their retirement objectives, and will even help them decide whether they should move or not.

In addition to the Decision Guide, the Great Places to Retire section contains in-depth reports on over 150 cities and towns in 31 states that have been selected as outstanding retirement destinations. The company is regularly adding more reports.

Each report is loaded with Web links and contains information on the town itself, arts and cultural activities, recreational activities, continuing education opportunities, plus information on senior services, area hospitals, airports, local newspapers, tax information, weather, and the local Chamber of Commerce.

For those who seek a college or university environment in which to live and pursue life-long learning, there is information on great college towns for retirement and college-linked retirement communities. "Retirees are now living longer than in the past and are looking for places that will continue to stimulate their mind and body," says Wetzel.

Access to Great Places to Retire requires a one-time membership fee of $19.95 for unlimited use.

RetirementLiving.com is operated by the Retirement Living Information Center based in Redding, Connecticut. The site provides essential information to help seniors plan their retirement years. Known as "The Gateway to Resources for Senior Living," it presents information that supports decision- making.
