WHAT: Ali Hewson and her husband, U2 frontman, Bono, have collaborated with fashion designer Rogan Gregory to create EDUN, a line of contemporary fashions for men and women that unite a sharp aesthetic with ethical production. Launching nationwide at 46 Saks Fifth Avenue stores across the US, the line makes its debut in Chicago this week.

WHY: EDUN'S founders and the Rogan team share a common desire to build a brand that produces stylish clothing while providing sustainable employment and fostering stable commercial relationships in developing areas of the world. By offering trade rather than aid, EDUN will help generate commerce for emerging nations and help grow their communities.
