A total of 22 Dinner by Design locations are scheduled to be open in the coming weeks. Dinner by Design is an innovative concept and service that meets the demands of today's busy families. In two hours or less, people can enjoy making 12 entrees for the month at a Dinner by Design kitchen. Dinner by Design helps people 1) save valuable shopping and prep time, 2) eliminate stress and mess, and 3) enhance the nutrition and quality of their families' dinners. According to Julie Duffy, president and Founder of Dinner by Design, the company has signed more than 20 franchises year to date, and an estimated 100 franchise agreements will be signed by the end of this year. The first Wisconsin Dinner by Design kitchen, which is officially opening tomorrow, is located in the Milwaukee suburb of Glendale, on North Port Washington Road near I43. Dinner by Design is planning to have six Southeastern Wisconsin kitchens by this September. Additional openings in Wisconsin include Racine, Brookfield, Grafton, Kenosha and Ashwaubenon/West Green Bay. In related news, Dinner by Design announced its first franchise location in the state of New York, slated to be located in Saratoga Springs. The Need for the Dinner by Design Concept "Our goal is to bring families back to the dinner table with healthy, nutritious dinners," said Julie Duffy, president and Founder of Dinner by Design, Inc. "The public's interest and acceptance of the Dinner by Design service is astounding. Increased demands on family time combined with the desire to offer healthy and nutritious dinners are fueling the company's growth," added Ms. Duffy, who is a mother of three young children. Research nationwide reveals the numerous benefits of family dinnertime and the need for better nutrition without the high sodium and preservatives of fast or processed foods. For example, data suggests that families who eat dinner together have happier marriages, healthier and less troubled children and stronger family ties. At the same time, an estimated 56 percent of parents surveyed would spend the extra time with their families if they had a solution to reduce meal-preparation time, and more than 70 percent of parents associated some stress with mealtime. How It Works Another reason for the growth of the Dinner by Design concept is convenience. People simply call the local Dinner by Design Kitchen or go to the company's website http://www.dinnerbydesignkitche Franchise Growth and Support Ms. Duffy estimates that there will be an estimated 3,000 Dinner by Design locations in the next five years. Industry observers predict the concept of meal prep outside the home is at the same stage that trendy coffee chains were at 15 years ago. Robin Perry, director of national franchise sales and owner of his own location in Gurnee, Illinois said, "Dinner by Design is the right concept at the right time. This company and industry is going to explode in the months and years ahead." Dinner by Design is different from other "do-it-yourself" meal making shops because of its quality of food and high level of service.
