SEE NATURE THROUGH YOUR CHILD'S EYES

Parents of kids four and five years old are invited to join the Lake
County Forest Preserves for a summer camp where parents or caregivers
and their little ones discover the world of nature together. Knee-High
Naturalists is a chance to share wide-eyed amazement with your little
one while exploring the outside world. The camp is offered at Ryerson
Woods near Deerfield, Van Patten Woods near Wadsworth, Lakewood near
Wauconda, and Greenbelt near North Chicago. Camps at Independence Grove
near Libertyville have filled to capacity and are no longer available.

Knee High Naturalists is offered from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. on June 20 -
24 (Ryerson Woods); July 11- 15 (Van Patten Woods); July 18 - 22
(Lakewood); July 25 - 29 (Greenbelt). The camp is offered from 10:45
a.m. to noon on June 20 - 24 (Ryerson Woods); June 27 - July 1 (Grant
Woods); July 11 - 15 (Van Patten Woods); July 18 - 22 (Lakewood); and
July 25 - 29 (Greenbelt).

Cost for the week long camp is $65 ($45 for Lake County residents) per
child. Cost for an additional child is $30 ($22 for Lake County

Financial aid is available to attend Forest Preserve summer camps. To
request an application, call 847-968-3321. The application is also
included on page 18 of the Lake County Forest Preserves' Summer Camp
brochure, which can be accessed online at www.LCFPD.org or picked up at
many Forest Preserves sites including the General Offices located at
2000 N. Milwaukee near Libertyville, Greenbelt Cultural Center near
North Chicago, Ryerson Woods Visitor's Center near Deerfield,
Independence Grove Visitor Center near Libertyville, or the Lake County
