Knee-High Naturalists is a chance to share wide-eyed amazement with your little one while exploring the outside world. The camp is offered at Ryerson Woods near Deerfield, Van Patten Woods near Wadsworth, Lakewood near Wauconda, and Greenbelt near North Chicago. Camps at Independence Grove near Libertyville have filled to capacity and are no longer available. Knee High Naturalists is offered from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. on June 20 - 24 (Ryerson Woods); July 11- 15 (Van Patten Woods); July 18 - 22 (Lakewood); July 25 - 29 (Greenbelt). The camp is offered from 10:45 a.m. to noon on June 20 - 24 (Ryerson Woods); June 27 - July 1 (Grant Woods); July 11 - 15 (Van Patten Woods); July 18 - 22 (Lakewood); and July 25 - 29 (Greenbelt). Cost for the week long camp is $65 ($45 for Lake County residents) per child. Cost for an additional child is $30 ($22 for Lake County residents). To register, call 847-968-3321.
