MedTech Products Ltd. to Introduce the V/A Worn-of-Women(R) Feminine Condom in Europe
CHENNAI, India and SEATTLE, June 15, 2005

- First Latex Women's Condom Slated to Receive World Health Organization Endorsement

MedTech Products Ltd. today announced that its revolutionary V/A Worn-of-Women(R) (V/A) condom, the first-ever latex condom for women, will be available in Europe on the first day of summer. Beginning June 21, women can place their advance orders for 12-packs of V/A, online at http://www.vawow.com . The V/A condoms are expected to be in stores throughout Europe by late July.

Wal-Mart Germany and Wal-Mart China have agreed to carry the V/A immediately in all their stores, and large European drugstore chains such as Boots in the U.K. and DM in Germany are currently in discussions with MedTech. V/A is presently CE-Mark approved for sale in Europe and worldwide. FDA approval for V/A sales in the USA is expected in early 2006.

"The success of our new V/A condom with women and their partners in parts of Europe and South Africa over the past year enables us to expand distribution of the V/A everywhere in Europe and Africa, plus Asia and South America," said MedTech president Ravi Reddy. "We are extremely encouraged about V/A introduction into the European retail marketplace as part of our ongoing commitment to the consumers we already serve there."

With its latex pouch-and-sponge design, joined to a soft outer V-frame, the V/A is becoming the new cornerstone for AIDS prevention around the globe because of its simplicity, low cost and ability to provide pleasure along with protection. V/A is expected to retail for approximately 0.75 Euro Cents each.

"The World Health Organization was presented the V/A in March of this year, at their request, and is expected to officially endorse the V/A in the next few months," according to MP spokesperson Brian Osterberg.

Fifteen years of development and clinical research has culminated in the universally accepted design of V/A. An April 2005 Johns Hopkins University's Health Report listed the V/A as having undergone extensive clinical review, and the condom is in the final phase of the FDA clinical study being conducted by CONRAD and Family Health International (FHI.)
