Hundreds of Scholars/Entrepreneurs at Entrepreneurial Research Summit
WELLESLEY, Mass., June 10, 2005
Nearly 400 delegates from 24 countries are attending the premier scholarly forum for entrepreneurial research -- the Babson-Kauffman Foundation Entrepreneurship Research Conference (BKERC) at Babson College.

BKERC, which runs through June 12, 2005, "Provides a dynamic venue where academics and real-world practitioners, through spirited dialogue, can link theory and practice," says Stephen Spinelli, Jr., Babson vice provost for entrepreneurship.

The 2005 BKERC Call for Papers attracted 606 abstracts from scholars in 37 countries. The presentation schedule for the accepted papers is available at http://www3.babson.edu/ESHIP/programs/BKERC/.

A Doctoral Consortium, created as a means to unite future entrepreneurship educators and scholars with established leaders and researchers in the field, also is taking place at the conference, as is the Forum on Transgenerational Entrepreneurship.

This 25th anniversary BKERC is sponsored jointly by Babson College and the Kauffman Foundation.

The conference host, the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, is the hub for entrepreneurial activity at Babson. It is the Center's mission to lead the global advancement of entrepreneurship education and practice through the development of teaching, research, and outreach initiatives that inspire entrepreneurial thinking and cultivate entrepreneurial leadership in all organizations and society.
